Finding Your Passion

One of my coaches asked this question: where am I going to be in 5 years?

It is a really important time to move foreward and decide where do you want to be?

Finding your direction is not through your intellect or what you think. You can’t think yourself into your next opportunity.

You find it through your desire and feelings. What really inspires you in your heart of hearts. What do you REALLY want? What are you hungry for?

When you know what you want, then you use your intellect to organize yourself to go after it.

I have a couple of short stories about finding passion and what happened. I’m also going to talk about your purpose or life thrust.

#1 Moving to Byron Bay

When I was about 13 my parents drove to a holiday on the Gold Coast, with a stop off at the Byron Bay lighthouse. I looked over the clear aqua coloured water with the lines of surf rolling in and the mountains in the background, that are the remnants of very old volcanos.

I felt it calling me. I had a thought I need to live here. This feeling stayed with me.

Years later I got married and moved to the North Coast of NSW, it was before internet and iMaps, I had no idea where we were going except there was surf and my husband got a job there. We arrived and went on a drive to find how far it was to Byron Bay. Like a dream come true we found we were only 20 minutes away. I lived in Lennox Head for the next 10 years.

#2 Teaching on Stage

When I saw Eric Pearl and Doug Devito teaching healing on stage, something called me, a feeling I could not explain, a desire and I had the thought “Imagine working with these guys…”

Of course, I dismissed this as a wild idea that would never happen.

But I did take actions, I started offering healing, worked in my private practice, I talked about this work to everyone I met, obsessively. They came back to Australia and because of the energy I had put into the work, I was asked to move to Los Angeles and work with them. They offered me training to do more and one day, yes, I was on stage teaching. It happened through the desire I felt.

#3 Your Spiritual Life Thrust

We all have purpose in life, how we get there is through our passion. Until your last breath you are living your purpose, it cannot be any other way.

My Spiritual Life Thrust is about being of service. I tend to meet people who want to be of service and help others. This is my message and the only thing I teach. For me it means I have come here for service.

Your spiritual thrust is who you are uniquely here to be! This can help you work out what to do next.
